Inside the middle dresser drawer

A long time ago, life was simple. Our kids wanted bedtime stories and we told them. Brush teeth. Apply pajamas. Cycle through myriad complex stages of negotiation on matters small and large (who sleeps where, final snacks, proper speed for the ceiling fan, shades up/down/halfway, etc.)

Finally, when all avenues of diplomatic recourse were exhausted, we (the parents) were permitted to remove a book from the shelf & read it to they (the children). Assuming, of course, that we didn't already have it memorized.

Then they grew and began demanding more customized fare. Lots of worlds were conceived. The most successful concerned a dynamite dwarf named David who lived in their middle dresser drawer.

It turned out that David's world had quite alot of interesting overlap with their world so he stuck around. Moved in. Made friends. Set fires and blew stuff up. He's still around but rumor has it that he'll be moving to Stuttgart, Germany with the rest of the team this fall.

Welcome to his drawer.

Having meet David, I must say that he is not your average "Dwarf". As a matter of fact, David suffers from a very rare genetic disorder. While is mother and father are of a normal Dwarf size of 3 feet tall, David is over 6 feet tall, which makes the middle dresser a little cramped some times.

David will have a great time in Germany, though the neighbors will be a bit surprised when a 6 foot dwarf comes out at night to play.

Passport, Dwarfs don't need no stinking passports!!!!
