It has not yet occurred to any of them to wonder who Buddy Holly and Mary Tyler Moore are...

Imagine my mortification when my 3 and 4 year olds, so moved by our church band's thumping bass, burst into a pitch and letter perfect rendition of "All The Single Ladies" complete with hand gestures and bummy shimmies, at the end of church services Sunday. Then, the littler of the two asked for clarification on some of the lyrics ("Mommy, why does Beyonce want someone to put her ring on it?").
(Head hangs in shame).
I think I shall bust out my Schoolhouse Rock CDs.
