I was told moments ago that my engineering group is being sold.
No data on who my new owner is. I hope their vacation policy isn't as stingy.
UPDATE: It seems that I'm not supposed too worry because we're only being divested, not sold. However, they add that the reason for divestiture is to sell us off so apparently it's the same thing.

???????? So you have no clue what that means!
For now, my company has blocked all employee transfers outside of my group... they need to keep us intact for the buyer. Once things are finalized in a few months, I will almost certainly lose my pension. Other than that, it's business as usual.
I would buy you, Andy. If the benefits package isn't good enough, just let me know...
We won't lose the pension we already have... just the prospect of gathering anything from henceforth. Work is going to be all kinds of un-fun the next few months.
Uncertainity is always un-fun... I am glad Stephanie said you will not lose the pension you already have. 'tis good.
And if all else fails, you always have Alison's offer... :) just for a backup....
If Alison wants to buy me, she needs to dig a basement to chain me in. I expect my owners to meet certain minimum standards.
