Today I'm wondering just how old my kids need to be before I let them watch Star Wars.
Maddie looks at me with a funny expression every time I say "let the Wookie win." (Usually in reference to letting Micah have something he wants).

A1: when you're ready for Micah to put a bucket on his head and start whacking things/siblings with his light saber.
A2: didn't you play the theme music in their cribs at night??? No??? Bad parents.
A3: don't. You're only setting them up for the supreme disappointment of Episodes 1,2,3.
Have to agree with Alison there about the supreme dissapointment of 1,2,and 3, but let me add this little ditty: my wonderful husband did not know that Chewbacca was a wookie! He missed out on the whole Star Wars thing growing up! When you talk rugby, tennis, golf, soccer he has no problem, but talk to his wife? Problem!
SO my kids have seen Star Wars - the REAL first episode (ie #4) and yes, my son does on occasion love to whack anybody and anything with his light saber. BUT he'd do it with a regular sword too if he hadn't seen Star Wars. And Andrew is having a Darth Vader birthday cake and all. He says, "Mommy, Darf Vader turns good in the end so it's okay."
Besides, the Star Wars theme tune is about the only thing I've ever learned to play on the piano!
