Tess went to sleep last night with 3 hardcover books under her pillow and a flashlight in her bed.
...and she wonders why she was tired this morning.

And just how thick were these books? Must not be any Rowling or they wouldn't fit, but they aren't likely to be "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" books either!
